Norm Szydlowski
Norman J. (Norm) Szydlowski is the president and chief executive officer of SemGroup® Corporation. Prior to joining the company, Szydlowski served as president and chief executive officer of Colonial Pipeline Company out of Alpharetta, Ga., which was rated by Standard & Poor’s as the strongest U.S. midstream energy company. He also served as vice president of refining at ChevronTexaco, one of the largest refinery systems in the world with 21 wholly owned and affiliated refineries. The Pentagon recruited Szydlowski to help rebuild the Iraqi oil sector, and he served as a senior consultant for the U.S. Department of Defense. In this capacity he led an advisory team in the rehabilitation, infrastructure security and the development of future strategy for the Iraqi Ministry of Oil in Baghdad.
Szydlowski graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a master’s degree in business administration. He also has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Kettering University.
