Elena Muehlenbeck is Controller at the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the organization. Muehlenbeck has over 10 years of financial management experience in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining BPC, she served as Assistant Controller at the New America Foundation, where she focused on supporting all aspects of accounting, business and operations efforts. Previously, Muehlenbeck worked as an Accounting Manager at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and as Accounting Analyst at the United Nations Foundation.

Muehlenbeck earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in Linguistics and Intercultural Communication from the State Nizhny Novgorod Linguistics University in Russia and her master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Accounting from University of Maryland University College.
