Shai Akabas joined the Economic Policy Project at the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) in April 2010. Prior to joining BPC, he worked on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s 2009 campaign for reelection. Previously, he interned at The Conference Board, an economic research and advisory organization, and at The Mellman Group, a political polling firm. He currently serves on International Hillel’s Israel Advocacy Committee, working with college students to bring awareness of Israel-related issues to campuses across the country. He was born and raised in Manhattan, and received his B.A. in Economics and History from Cornell University in January 2009.
