Mike DiConti joined the Bipartisan Policy Center in 2006. Mike was previously Director of Strategic Partnerships for the American Council for Technology as a government/industry liaison focused on developing communications and education programs to improve government’s efficient use of technology. From 1990 to 2004, Mr. DiConti was Director of Operations and Legislation for the Business Roundtable in Washington, D.C., where he led the financial and operations functions and engaged in legislative advocacy at the federal and state levels on various public policy issues. Mike currently serves on Fairfax County’s Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee, which operates as the board of directors for the County’s CIO. Mike received a Ph.D. in political science from The Johns Hopkins University in 1990 and during his dissertation was a Fellow with the Institute for the Study of World Politics, in Washington, D.C. Mike received an M.B.A. in finance/accounting from UCLA's Anderson School of Management in 1983 and subsequently joined Ernst & Young, LLC in Los Angeles as a tax advisor, where he worked through 1985. In 1980, Mike was graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. in Psychology from Occidental College in Los Angeles. He is author of the book, Entrepreneurship in Training: The Multinational Corporation in Mexico and Canada (University of South Carolina Press: 1992). Mike has three sons, Nolan, Aidan, and Jason and lives in Fairfax, Virginia.
