Emily Hawkes joined the Bipartisan Policy Center in May 2006. Prior to joining the Commission, Emily spent two years in Western Canada (Saskatchewan & Alberta) where she worked for Bosco Homes, a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding children and families struggling with emotional, psychiatric and developmental disorders. During that time, Emily also worked and volunteered for the Alberta Psychiatric Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Emily received a B.A. in Psychology from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut in 2004. Emily is currently pursuing a certificate in National Security Affairs from the Institute of World Politics. She and her husband, Konn, reside in Arlington, Virginia.
