Eileen McMenamin is the Director of Communications for the Bipartisan Policy Center. Prior to joining the BPC, she spent three years on Capitol Hill as the Communications Director for U.S. Senator John McCain, serving as his chief spokesperson and overseeing his Senate press operation. Eileen brings experience and knowledge from both sides of the media-political spectrum, having worked as a political producer for ABC News and CNN, in Washington, D.C., New York and London. As a journalist, Eileen spent considerable time on the campaign trail, covering the 1996, 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. She also served as a producer for programs such as “Good Morning America,” “Inside Politics with Judy Woodruff,” and “Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer,” and is the recipient of the 2005 DuPont Award for CNN coverage of the tsunami disaster in South Asia. Eileen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a minor in Psychology from American University in Washington, D.C.
