Former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole says
the next president will have to deal next year
with reforming the health care
system.
Dole told a health care forum
Monday: "The time for health care is next
year."
Dole returned to his home state
and the Institute of Politics bearing his name
to lead a discussion on health care.
The
forum was part of a project on health care from
the Bipartisan Policy Center, which Dole helped
form. It also was sponsored by the Dole
Institute, and about 400 people
attended.
The discussed plenty of ideas
for improving health care. They included making
sure people have more information, promoting
healthier lifestyles and dealing with a
shortage of workers in rural areas.
