State help sought to reform U.S. transportation funding

"With a funding crisis at hand largely because of declining revenues from gas taxes, the Bipartisan Policy Center's National Transportation Policy Project hosted a forum at the Detroit Regional Chamber's office.

"Former Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer is a cochairman of the NTPP, which is promoting its study, 'Performance Driven: A New Vision for U.S. Transportation Policy.'"
