"A Big Country congressman Tuesday called for a review of the intelligence law amounting to a job description for one-time West Texan James R. Clapper Jr. if he becomes the nation’s top spy in charge of keeping terrorists at bay.

Rep. Mac Thornberry expressed his concerns with the post-Sept. 11, 2001 law a few hours before the retired Air Force lieutenant general fielded questions from senators about his qualifications for the position of director of national intelligence.

Thornberry participated in 'State of Play: The Future of the Director of National Intelligence' on Tuesday morning at the Bipartisan Policy Center with two former 9/11 Commission members."
